White Mountain ice cream freezers are simply the best. White Mountain ice cream freezers are the best available that I know of. This is the 4th one I have owned, one manual and three electric (over a 45 year period). Nothing works like a wooden bucket for freezing ice cream. Those plastic buckets don’t even come close. Yes, White Mountain freezers are expensive, but they last for many, many years and, as stated above, are without equal when it comes to freezing your favorite home-made ice cream recipe.
The first batch wasn’t as “firm” as I would have liked it to be I read a lot of reviews on a number of machines and honestly made the White Mountain purchase just because it is the first freezer I can remember as a kid. It worked great for the first 2 times then the 3rd time … It worked great for the first 2 times then the 3rd time we used it about 10 minutes into it making icecream sparks went everywhere and the motor went out… Contacted white mountain but have not received any emails back for help.
