This Metrokane Rabbit Wine Bottle Foil Cutter (Black) is the perfect accessory for the wine lover. Neatly and safely remove foil from wine bottles with this foil cutter. Simply squeeze and twist to remove the wine bottle foil. Cleanly and evenly cut wine foil off making it easy to remove the corker. Made from durable plastic, this wine tool features an easy-to-grip velvet-smooth finish. Packaged in a clear gift box, this foil cutter makes a great gift for any wine aficionado. It’s important not to run a corkscrew through the metal foil on top of a wine bottle since it can dull the screw. A foil cutter does a clean, even job of removing the foil cap and presenting the top of the cork. Made of durable plastic and covered with a rubberized, matte black finish, this foil cutter from the Velvet line is elegant and easy to grip. Simply position it on top of the bottle, squeeze firmly, and twist. A great gift for the wine aficionado, the Velvet foil cutter comes packaged in a molded clear acrylic case. –Ann Bieri

Not impressed This product got glowing reviews, but upon receiving it and using it for only a short time, I am quite disappointed. It doesn’t cut the foil nearly as easy as some other foil cutters I have found. It’s about as good as a foil cutter you could find at your local grocery store, Walmart or even a dollar store.

Not Consistent, too much Trouble. I can’t get this model to cut the foil consistently, it seems to depend on the type of bottle. I prefer the older style, at least in function, but they never lasted (the little rollers would break off). I end up just cutting the foil with the little knife on my Pulltab waiter’s tool.

like my old one Got this to replace the Metrokane foil cutter I bought 20 yrs ago. Same overall design, but I wish it were rubberized for grip, like my old one; the plastic is a little slick. Still, easy to use, great price. (And those rubberized grips often break down and get gross after many years — that’s what happened to my old one — so this won’t have that problem.)
