Mr. Coffee ain’t what it used to be. I purchased this coffee make primarily because I had a compatible carafe from a previously purchased similar Mr. Coffee unit. Unfortunately, the quality and longevity of Mr. Coffee units has declined over the years. The Mr. Coffee unit I purchased in the late 1980s was made in the USA and lasted for more than 20 years. LOUSY! Lousy coffee maker. Bought in March 2016 so beyond date of return. Very, very slow and finally quit all together this morning. Don’t buy it. You’ll be sorry. Ended up taking 10 year old coffee maker out of storage, it still works! I haven’t even had this one for 6 months and it’s played out. Thanks Mr. Coffee and thanks Amazon.com for your return policy on items like this. It sucks.
Better than more expensive ones There are 3 big pluses about this coffee maker in comparing to my many other coffee makers. (1) I love that it has a see through water reservoir on both sides so you can actually see how many cups of water are in it. My last one didn’t have that and I was never sure how many cups of water I had because the measurements on the carafe was confusing. (2) when pouring the water from the carafe into the reservoir it doesn’t spill down the front of the carafe and all over my stove. (3) when lifting…
