The bottom of the pot is thin and inside is coated with a Teflon type material. within 2 weeks of use the inside was flaking off and rusting. We had amazon replace it. Maybe it was a fluke? nope. second pot is doing the same thing. VERY disappointed.

Such great colors to choose from for this great tea kettle! I’ve used this product now for about at month, and I just love it. It really is well-designed. It does not drip when pouring hot water. The lid fits quite securely, but is easy to remove. The handle does not get hot, and it swivels for ease of filling. It is not a problem to flip open the spout cover. It whistles perfectly. Good luck contacting customer service Not happy with customer service. You would expect a tea kettle like this one to last a lifetime. A small metal piece came out of the spout while I was hand washing this and I called customer service. They are impossible to reach by phone. You can leave a message and they will return the call but you will never speak to them if they leave a message. Your only hope if that you will be able to answer at the moment they call you back.
