If you are purchasing this, you need the storage case! I use this item in my kitchen fairly regularly. The only issue I have with this (and really, all of my KitchenAid attachments) is how to store them. I know there is another option to purchase this with a storage case and I absolutely recommend purchasing that. The pieces work well for shredding and slicing and it’s easy to clean as the pieces come apart easily.
I was disappointed that there wasn’t an operating guide I bought it mainly for making coleslaw. I doesn’t save much time, but no scraped knuckels. I was disappointed that there wasn’t an operating guide. I think it was worth the money.

It does a very good job on celery and carrots on slice. It didn’t do as well on cabbage on shred, but its most likely me doing something wrong. Once my garden is growing this summer, I expect to use it a lot.
